Using the Site and Licensing: How can I download photos?
You have a few options.
Firstly, you may download using your credits or buy a subscription. Credits alow you to download pictures of equal worth as the credits. Subscriptions allow you to download a larger number of pictures then the cost of the subscription.
How much does it cost? Stockphotos are € 1,- in the biggest size. Special photos have prices determined by our photographers.
I'm a photographer ? how can I sell my photos? To sell your photos, you first have to sign up as a member. Then just sign in and add 1 or 2 images in your private folder to show us what you can do. After we approve your photos, you will be able to upload stock and/or special photos. As a photographer you will earn 70% of every download of your photos.
Folders (you'll find in your My Account section): What is "Favorits"?
Favorits is a section in your "My Account" area where all images you add are stored for you to review or download later. What is "Private"?
Private is a folder in wich you can upload some images to store them. The images uploaded there are private and not listed on the site.
What is "Stock"?
The Stock folder is where most images are uploaded. All images uploaded in this folder will require aprovement before being showed on the web site. Once they are aproved anyone can download them for a ammount between € 0.33 and € 1 depending of the subscription they use or if they use their credits. Stockphotos can be downloaded with exclusive license. The price for exlusive license of stock-photos is € 175,- per photo. What is "Special"?
Special is the folder where high value images are stored. Prices for this images are set by the owner and not by the system depending on credits or subscription. Special photos can be downloaded with exclusive license. The price for exclusive license of special-photos is 35 x (times) the € amount determined by the photographer.
What is "mp3"?
Mp3 is the folder where you can download music produced by Ray Nicovs. The music is for private and study use only. (To use the music for other purposes: send and email request to the Admin of this site)
Upload photos: It is very important that you add as many as possible keywords at every photo that you upload. It is important so that seachmachines will find your photo faster. You can use the "BATCH" upload method. You can upload more than one photo quickly and edit the photos later when you put them online. I recommend to upload 3 photos at a time. At every photo you have a "color" to choose from. Choose the color that comes the most near to the overall color of your photo. Photos which contain any marks, trademarks will be refused and deleted. If you want to upload photos with faces of people which are recognizable, I will send you a "model release" form, which you have to fill in. (and fax or mail back) Without such a model release, photos with recognizable faces will be refused. Fotoskoop.com has the right to refuse photos. Photos that are extremely violent, pornographic, racistic or extremely provocative will be refused. All photos containing material forbidden by the Dutch law will be refused.
Licensing of STOCK-photos and SPECIAL-photos: Can your stock and special images be used for a print on Canvas, framed Art or Photoprint for private use?
Yes! Can your stock and special images be used in my company brochure/catalog/flyer/website?
Yes! I am a graphic designer; can I use your stock and special images on my client's website?
Yes! Can I crop or edit your stock and special images?
Yes! As long as you do not re-sell or redistribute the image(s) or resulting image(s). Can I use your stock and special images in my ebook?
Yes!I am making website temples, which will be resold. Can I use your stock and special images?
No! Our stock and special images are not allowed to be used in "boxed templates". However, if you are hired to make a website for a client, then you may use our images. The important distinction is that "boxed" / pre-made templates are selling the site, whereas an individual job is selling the service. (see the exclusive license section)
Can I resell or redistribute your images?
No. The resale and/or redistribution of all our images is strictly prohibited. I produce T-shirts/Screen savers/Mouse pads for resale. Can I use your stock and special images?
No. You may not reproduce our images for the purpose of resale. (see the exclusive license section)
All photos can be ordered with EXCLUSIVE license: Downloaded with Exclusive license, all of our photos are available for imprinting on distributable retail products , such as t-shirts, greeting cards, calendars, books, magazins etc. To purchase a photo for this use, simply purchase the photo by clicking the Exclusive option to add in your basket. There are no restrictions on the number of copies of the retail product produced and distributed. However, to use the same photo in the design of a second product, the photo must be purchased again with the Exclusive license!

YOU MAY NOT:
- Use our images to promote hatred, violence, racism, sex, treason, terrorism, slander, obscenity, or immorality.
- Use our images in a way that violates any law or regulation of any country, state, or other governmental entity.
- Sell, share, sublicense, assign, gift, or otherwise transfer or distribute our images where the image is detached from a derivative design, including posting our images on a network server, web server, or other electronic media device with the intention of file sharing or including our images in another digital photo collection either online, in print, or in a photo collection CD.
- Imply that our images are your own or claim copyright, intellectual property rights, or other rights to our images.
Billing. What currency are these prices in?
All of our prices are listed in EURO currency.
Subscriptions Do the subscriptions automatically renew?
NO. But you can use the renew button in the Reports section any time after the subscription has expired as long as you have enough € on your account balance! It says I have reached my daily download limit, but I haven't downloaded anything today. Why?
Your download limit is actually based on a 24hour clock, and not calendar days. So let's say your limit is 25 photos a day, and you download 25 photos at 5:00pm today. Your limit would not open up until 5:00pm tomorrow. |
